There are so many self-help books that talk about how to think positively💡 I was also the person who read so many books about how to be positive. But, no matter how hard I tried to be positive, I couldn’t. It was tough for me to stop thinking negatively. So, what I have attempted is meditation because I heard that meditation is good for mind control🙏
What I have learned from the meditation was simple. Let me explain to you what those are.
1. To think positively, we should find out where does my negative thoughts come from.
2. Meditation is all about self-reflection. If you close your eyes, please think about all the moments in your life, especially when you had hard times. You will be able to see many memories in your mind. The moment when you were crying, the moment when you were sad for some reason. Even if all these are already past, we are still holding the event’s emotional attachments. And this is the reason why we have many negative thoughts🥀
3. To help you understand easier, let me give you some examples. What if you haven’t emptied your trash bin for a few weeks? What would happen? It stinks, right? The mind works the same. If we didn’t let go of negative feelings from the past but still holding it, it stays in us and keeps on creating negative thoughts. And this is one of the reasons why we can’t think all the time positively. We should learn how to empty the mind trash, and this practice is meditation🍃
4. To lose weight, we have to run to burn calories. Meditation has a way to burn mental calories. We have to practice letting go of all the negative thoughts to think, most of the time positively.
5. Meditation is something that anyone can do easily. This practice is beginner-friendly. All you have to do is to sit down and close the eyes and work on letting go. All you need is proper guidance and a meditation method🦋
In conclusion, the best way to think positively is to meditate. Because of negative thoughts in mind, it is hard to think positively. If you haven’t tried any meditation before, I want to recommend to try and start. Nobody is an expert from the beginning. Starting is half of the battle.
