How do you not fill yourself with negative thoughts and be positive on a daily basis?

The simplest way to avoid negative thoughts and feel positive is to clear your mind regularly. When you do this, negativity disappears, and you naturally become more positive.

I remember reading a study that said we have about 60,000 thoughts each day. Around 85 percent of these thoughts are negative, and 90 percent are repeats from the day before. I assume that there are individual variations, but I believe this study is true for most people. Looking at myself, I used to be very negative. I always worried, complained, thought the worst, and criticized myself for mistakes or things I said.

Things started changing when I began a meditation that helped me empty my mind. Slowly, I let go of negative thoughts. As I did, a positive mindset naturally grew from within. I noticed I worried less, could move on from mistakes easier, took myself less seriously, and felt more free.

The meaning of true positivity and how to achieve it

I realized that being positive comes naturally to us when we have let go of negativity. I think it’s worth mentioning, particularly since many people may believe they need to force themselves to be positive by focusing on the bright side of things or repeating positive affirmations. Personally, I was truly surprised to discover that I had a positive nature beneath my negative thoughts. I now understand that positivity is innate to humans and signifies our ability to accept whatever happens in any given situation. That’s true positivity, and the great news is that we all have it – we just need to uncover it!

I recommend everyone try this meditation. It’s super simple, and letting go of your mind quickly becomes second nature in any life situation.

Take care,

Michael
